N. Scott Momaday

N. Scott Momaday was born in 1934 in Lawton, Okla., to a Kiowa father and Cherokee/mixed-blood mother. In the course of his career, he has received numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, the Academy of American Poets Prize, the National Medal of Arts and the Premio Letterario Internazionale Mondello, Italy’s highest literary honor. Momaday lives in Santa Fe, N.M.
