James Finley

James Finley was born in 1943 in Ohio and currently resides in California. He is a retreat leader, Thomas Merton scholar, clinical psychologist and master of the Contemplative Way. Formerly, as a Trappist monk, he lived at the Abbey of Gethsemane in Kentucky, with Thomas Merton as his spiritual director.
