Wallace J. Nichols

Dr. Wallace J. Nichols was a research associate at California Academy of Sciences. He earned his Bachelors in biology and Spanish from DePauw University, an MEM in environmental policy and economics from Duke University and a Ph.D. in wildlife ecology and evolutionary biology from the University of Arizona. Dr. Nichols has authored over one hundred scientific publications and reports on ocean conservation science, mentors a motivated group of international graduate students and advises numerous boards and committees as part of a commitment to building a stronger, more progressive, connected environmental community. He created BlueMind, bringing neuroscience to our understanding of the benefits of healthy waterway in our lives and authored a book on the subject with Little, Brown & Company. He lived on California’s SLOWCOAST with his family.
